Horst-Dieter Försterling

Horst-Dieter Försterling (born April 5, 1934 in Wiesbaden ) is a German chemist ( physical chemistry ). He was a professor at the Philipps University in Marburg .

From 1954 Försterling studied chemistry at the University of Marburg, graduating with Hans Kuhn in 1961 (analog computer for calculating interaction integrals). In 1964 he received his doctorate from Kuhn in Marburg, where he was an academic adviser and from 1972 professor. In 1999 he retired.

In 1972 he and Hans Kuhn received the literature prize of the Fonds der Chemischen Industrie for their book Physical Chemistry in Experiments . He also wrote a physical chemistry textbook with Kuhn, which was also translated into English.
