Horst-Erhardt Knoll

Horst-Erhardt Knoll (born November 8, 1931 in Bromberg, West Prussia, today Bydgoszcz , Poland, † June 19, 2016 ) was a German politician of the FDP .

education and profession

Horst-Erhardt Knoll attended elementary school and grammar school up to upper secondary level. He completed an apprenticeship as a businessman in a magazine publisher . He then worked as an advertising assistant and specialist consultant, as well as a traveling salesman for office supplies.

politics

From 1950 to 1955 Horst-Erhardt Knoll was district group leader of the German Youth of the East, district group Recklinghausen. In 1955 he became a member of the FDP and the German Young Democrats (DJD). He was district chairman of the DJD and member of the district board of the FDP Aachen from 1955 to 1958. From 1960 to 1962 he was district chairman of the DJD Dortmund and member of the district board of the FDP. In 1961 he became deputy district chairman. His other political offices were: from 1963 secretary in the state board of the DJD NW, from 1964 deputy state chairman, from 1964 treasurer of the FDP district association Ruhr-Ost and from 1965 member of the state board of the FDP. In 1964 Knoll was elected to the Dortmund City Council. Here he acted as group manager. He was also a member of the State Advisory Board for Immission Control and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Haus des Deutschen Ostens Foundation .

From July 25, 1966 to July 25, 1970, Horst-Erhardt Knoll was a member of the 6th state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia , which he entered via the state list.
