Career
Horst Hayer started playing soccer in the youth of VfB Stuttgart , where he made the leap into the club's amateur team and then moved to 1. FC Normannia Gmünd . One season Hayer made his professional debut in the jersey of 1. SC Göttingen 05 in the 2. Bundesliga North , in the southern season further stations followed with the FV 04 Würzburg and the Stuttgarter Kickers . A cruciate ligament rupture and meniscus damage during this time prevented a change to the Bundesliga for VfB Stuttgart. After his time in the second division, the native of Stuttgart played for TuS Ergenzingen.
