Horst Jaunich

Horst Jaunich (born June 7, 1930 in Breslau ) is a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending primary school, Jaunich completed a commercial training in wholesale. He worked from 1944 to 1948 as a commercial clerk and from 1949 to 1958 as a bricklayer. In 1960 he switched to ÖTV as an employee . Here he was a union secretary from 1960 to 1962 and then a managing director until 1972. He later became chairman of the supervisory board of numerous municipal companies in Ahlen / Westf.

Political party

Jaunich has been a member of the SPD since 1952. From 1968 to 1975 he was chairman of the SPD sub-district Hamm and from 1975 to 1981 deputy chairman of the SPD sub-district Warendorf . He was also from 1975 to 1985 and from 1997 to 1999 chairman of the city association of social democrats in Ahlen / Westf.

Jaunich was from 1957 to 1975 and since 1984 council member of the city ​​of Ahlen / Westf. He was a member of the German Bundestag from 1972 to 1994. In all six electoral terms he entered parliament via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia . Special functions in Dt. Bundestag:
