Horst Krumpen

Horst Krumpen (* 1966 in North Rhine-Westphalia) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

Krumpen is a trained businessman and studied social education . He served as a career officer in the German Armed Forces for 12 years . In 1986 he joined the Free Democratic Party . In 1998 he was elected secretary of the regional association of Bavaria and in 2000 he was elected honorary general secretary of the FDP Bavaria . He held this office until November 2004. At the same time, he was a member of the federal executive committee of the FDP from 2001 to the end of 2004. In 2002 he ran for the German Bundestag ( Kulmbach ), in 2003 as the top candidate of the Central Franconian FDP in the state elections . In 2005 he ran for the German Bundestag ( Schweinfurt ). For his services to the FDP in Bavaria, Krumpen was honored with the Thomas Dehler Medal. From October 2004 to the end of 2006 he was regional manager and press spokesman for the Berlin FDP, and from 2007 to 2009 he was head of the Liberal Citizens' Office for Michael Roolf , chairman of the FDP parliamentary group in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania . In June 2010 Krumpen left the FDP and in October 2010 he joined the party Die Linke . Krumpen has been the district chairman of the DIE LINKE Nordwestmecklenburg district association since 2015. Since May 2019 member of the district council of Northwest Mecklenburg and the citizenship of the Hanseatic city of Wismar.
