Horst Radtke

Horst Radtke (* 11. October 1941 in Essen ; † 15. September 2017 ) was a German politician of the SPD . From 1985 to 2000 he was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

education and profession

After attending elementary school and secondary school, Horst Radtke received his secondary school leaving certificate in 1960. He completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman, which he completed in 1964 with the assistant examination. In the meantime, in 1962, he obtained the technical college entrance qualification. This was followed by a visit to the higher technical school for social work. He received his graduation in 1972, his diploma in 1982. From 1964 he worked as an educator in a children's home of the workers 'welfare, from 1969 he became a social worker at the workers' welfare in Essen. 1972 first deputy and from 1974 managing director of Arbeiterwohlfahrt Essen.

Horst Radtke had been a member of the SPD since 1962. He was a member of the sub-district executive committee of the SPD Essen. He was on the City Council of Essen from 1975 to 1984; here as a member and chairman of the social committee.

From May 30, 1985 to June 1, 2000, Horst Radtke was a directly elected member of the 10th , 11th and 12th Landtag of North Rhine-Westphalia for the constituency 075 Essen I.

Memberships

Horst Radtke had been a member of IG Metall since 1960. His other memberships: member of the workers' welfare; Member of the Lebenshilfe for the mentally handicapped; Member of the Tusem Essen. Radtke was the founder and member of the "Association for child and youth work in social hot spots Essen eV" He was also a member of the economic council "Black and White Essen".
