Horst Tetzner

Horst Tetzner (born January 29, 1930 - August 2, 2014 ) was a German police officer. He was head of the technology and supply administration of the Ministry of the Interior (MdI) of the GDR .

Life

Tetzner joined the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) and became a member of the German People's Police (VP). He embarked on a career as an officer and became deputy head of utility services and head of technology and supply administration in the MdI. As such, he was a contractual partner for Imes GmbH for the export of military goods from the MdI's inventory for the purpose of generating foreign currency.

On June 30, 1986 he was appointed Major General of the VP by Erich Honecker .

Tetzner last lived in Berlin and was a member of the initiative community for the protection of social rights . Tetzner died at the age of 84.
