Horst Wernicke (Romanist)

Horst Wernicke (* 1935 ) is a German Romanist .

life and career

Horst Wernicke studied literature , theology and philosophy and received his doctorate from the University of Marburg with a thesis on Ernst Penzoldt in literary studies. phil. He then worked as director of studies at the Auguste-Viktoria-Schule in Flensburg. He has published books and essays on Albert Camus and René Char and wrote articles for the Neue Zürcher Zeitung and the magazine Lutherische Monatshefte . He is not to be confused with the medievalist Horst Wernicke .
