Hoard from Goldenstedt
The hoard find from Goldenstedt in the Vechta district in Lower Saxony dates from the younger Bronze Age .
In 1908 a biconical clay pot with metal objects was found in Goldenstedt near the sand ditch at a depth of 0.5 m. The most appealing structure was covered with gold foil bronze plate fibula , which was allegedly wrapped in discovering in birch bark. Furthermore, were found in the container 6 Knotenarmringe, fragments of a decorated neck collar, 1 razor with an S-shaped handle and one medium-sized Lappenbeil, all of bronze .
With its strong shoulder profile, the vessel has counterparts in Thuringian shoulder bulge vessels. The decoration of humps and grooves points to the area of Lusatian culture .
