The Hoseason Beach is a 1 km long beach on the island of Heard in the southern Indian Ocean . It is located directly in front of the confluence of the Nares Glacier in Corinthian Bay .
The name of the beach is Richard Hoseason (1921-1952), radio operator in a 1952 campaign of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions , who was washed into the sea on May 26, 1952 on this beach, drowned and is buried on the banks of Atlas Cove .
