The hospital is located at the east exit of Querfurt, at the so-called Steinwegischer Thor, at Merseburger Strasse 58 in Querfurt.

history

Before 1850, there were two infirmary houses on the site of the current building . Both hospitals were only a few meters apart. The St. Johannis was referred to as the unclean Spital or also as the Siechen-Spital and St. Georg as the pure Spital or also as the Sundersiechen-Spital . The infirmary St. Georg is mentioned in a document in 1654 with its chapel . Both infirmaries were demolished in the middle of the 19th century and replaced by a new building that was supposed to unite both buildings. This is how the current building was built around 1850, as was the Heilig-Geist-Kirche on the site of the two infirmary. According to Ernst Ihle , the new hospital was called the hospital of the pure spirit. The architect of the building is not known today.
