The Hotel Polana

The Hotel Polana is a hotel in Maputo , the capital of Mozambique . It is on the Indian Ocean . It was built in 1922 by British architect Herbert Baker on Maputo Bay and designed as a luxury hotel. Since then it has been one of the most renowned hotels in Africa.

The hotel belongs to the Serena Hotels chain and is now one of two five-star hotels in Maputo. It is centrally located on Avenida Julius Nyerere , house number 1380. The hotel has 142 rooms and suites, two restaurants, a sushi bar and two drinks bars. The hotel also has a spa .
