Miira no Kaikata ( Japanese ミ イ ラ の 飼 い 方 ) is a manga series by Kakeru Utsugi that has been released in Japan since 2014. The work is about the high school student Sora Kashiwagi, who keeps a tiny mummy as a pet, and belongs to the comedy genre .

content

The high school student Sora Kashiwagi ( 柏木 空 ) lives with his aunt Kaede Kashiwagi ( 柏木 カ エ デ ), his father is traveling and sends them home souvenirs that often turn out to be bad luck. So it happens that Sora receives a sarcophagus with an Egyptian mummy in it from his father. In contrast to her container, however, this is tiny and so Sora quickly overcomes his fear of her and takes on the self-anxious being. He takes care of the affectionate little mummy as best he can, feeds her together with the dog Pocchi and plays with her. Since Mii (short for Miira), as Sora calls the mummy, is always dried out when he comes home, he soon takes her to school every day.

Sora's classmate Tazuki Kamiya ( 神 谷 他 月 ) initially scares Mii with his curiosity, but he too soon warms up to the cute mummy. Kaede, who works at home at home all day long, feels the same way. Mii tries to help both of them around the house, which Sora usually has to deal with, but he hardly succeeds because of his small size. And even at school he keeps worrying Sora and Tazuki. At the same time, Tazuki runs towards a little Oni, whom he initially shooed away again and again. As a small child he had unsuccessfully protected little mythical creatures and does not want to experience any further disappointments. Nevertheless, he stays with him every night until Tazuki accepts him and baptizes Conny.

Especially from their classmate Asa Motegi ( 茂木 朝 ), the two friends can hardly hide their fantastic companions. Motegi soon meets a little dragon herself, of which she is afraid at first because she is disgusted by lizards. But with Sora's intervention, she learns that she need not be afraid and soon learns to love the dragon she calls Isao. Sora also has to help his classmate Daichi Tachiaki ( 立秋 大地 ) soon: The always tired, grumpy and notoriously violent boy suffers from nightmares. With Sora's help, a Baku visits him that eats up his nightmares. Now, thanks to being blessed with plenty of sleep, Diachi becomes a sociable, friendly youngster and fourth in the group of friends.

In order not to have to always take them to school or leave them at home alone, the four of them go to a small temple every day, where they can leave their mythical creatures in the care of the god. The beings can play with each other all day long, which is not always without incident. The life of the students becomes more adventurous with their fantastic friends and they form close friendships that they want to keep up after graduation. Another package from Sora's father adds an animated Anubis figure.
