Howard Stewart "Howie" Lee (born October 13, 1929 in Toronto , Ontario , † November 13, 2014 ) was a Canadian ice hockey player .

Career

Howard Lee began his career as a hockey player with the Toronto Marlboros , for whose junior team he was active from 1949 to 1949 in the Junior Ontario Hockey Association. He was then accepted into the senior team of the Marlboros, with which he immediately won the Allan Cup , the Canadian amateur championship, in 1950 . After another year with the Marlboros, he played in the 1951/52 season as a loan player for the Saint John Beavers from the Maritime Major Hockey League. From 1952 to the end of his career in 1958 at the age of 28, he ran for the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen, with whom he also won the Allan Cup in 1953 and 1955. With the Dutchmen he represented Canada at the 1956 Winter Olympics. Immediately after returning from the Winter Olympics, he also ran briefly towards the end of the 1955/56 season for the Cleveland Barons from the professional American Hockey League , rather he returned to the Kitchener-Waterloo Dutchmen.

International

For Canada , Lee took part in the 1956 Winter Olympics in Cortina d'Ampezzo , where he and his team won the bronze medal.
