Geographical distribution and habitat

The distribution area is limited to the area at Long Dett, East Borneo or Kalimantan (former state Koetei / Kutei ). The type specimen grew there on trees in the tropical rainforest. Rudolf Schlechter found the plant in bloom in August 1901.
