Huang Rui
Huang Rui , ( Chinese 黄 锐 ; * 1952 ) is a Chinese contemporary artist whose work includes paintings, installations, performances, photography and print media. He lived in Japan for almost ten years. Today he lives in Beijing .
Live and act
He was a founding member of the Stars Group , founded in 1979 , which also included artists like Ai Weiwei . Huang Rui was also one of the first Beijing artists to work in the Dashanzi Art District .
On November 9th, 2009 he presented the book 1989 - 365 Art Days in China and Germany , which he had published, in Berlin . Every day in 1989 is documented and illustrated in the volume with a picture of an important cultural event, a landscape or everyday life in Germany and China. It's kind of a socio-cultural diary from 1989.
