Hubble is an impact crater on the northeastern edge of the moon front , so it is only visible in a strongly distorted manner, if at all. It is located southwest of Joliot and east of Plutarch . The rim of the crater is eroded, the wall shows terracing. The interior is largely flat.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1964 after the American astronomer Edwin Hubble . Previously, the crater was as Plutarch A designated.
