Hubert Beck (born May 1, 1926 in Frankfurt am Main ; † January 8, 1972 ) was a German civil engineer (solid construction) and university professor at the TU Darmstadt .

Beck studies civil engineering at the TH Darmstadt from 1945 to 1949. From 1949 to 1955 he was a research assistant at the chair for solid construction under Alfred Mehmel and in 1953 he received his doctorate ( a contribution to the problem of the two-legged symmetrical plate beam under one-sided loading ). In 1954 he became a partner in Alfred Mehmel's engineering office and in January 1957 he opened his own engineering office in Frankfurt. In 1957 he qualified as a professor (a contribution to the calculation of regularly structured disks) and was recognized as a test engineer. In 1964 he became professor for structural engineering (statics of building structures) in Darmstadt and in 1966 full professor for solid construction and director of the institute for solid construction.

In 1965 he founded the Beck-Gravert-Schneider (BGS) engineering office, which was expanded in 1971 by the partners König, Rohn and Schmaus.
