Hubert Grawe

Hubert Grawe (born November 3, 1938 in Meschede , Westphalia ; † July 6, 2011 ) was a German computer scientist .

Life

Grawe studied physics, music and law in Göttingen and Munich from 1958 to 1964 and submitted his doctoral thesis in theoretical plasma physics in July 1967. From 1964 he was a research assistant at the Max Planck Institute for Plasma Physics in Garching near Munich. 1967/68 he stayed as an exchange scientist at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory . After returning to Germany, he was initially a project manager and later a manager in a software company.

From 1978 to 1997 he was Professor of Applied Computer Science at the Northeast Lower Saxony University of Applied Sciences in Lüneburg. From 1994 he was a lecturer in computer science for musicologists at the University of Munich , where he developed the musicological database musica data .
