Hubert Jungherz

Hubert Jungherz (born February 14, 1896 in Eupen ; † March 21, 1975 in Bensberg ) was a German politician ( SPD ). In January 1960, he replaced Otto Walpert, a member of the Bundestag who had left the Bundestag, to which he was a member until the end of the 1961 legislative period.

Life

After attending school, Jungherz completed an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk and then took part in the First World War. He then worked, among other things, as a warehouse manager, buyer and HR manager. He joined the SPD in 1919 and became district leader in Cologne-Ehrenfeld in 1923 . From 1931, until the party was banned, he was a member of the executive district executive in Cologne, where he was also a city councilor until 1933.

Jungherz rejoined the SPD after World War II and was elected district chairman of the SPD in the Rheinisch-Bergisches Kreis in 1947 . From 1947 to 1952, and again from 1958, he was a member of the Central Rhine District Board. He was a labor judge at the Chamber of Commerce in Cologne for several years and was elected to the city council of Bensberg in 1947, where he also served as deputy mayor from 1950 to 1954. From December 28, 1953 to July 4, 1954, he was a member of the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament , to which he was elected via the state list. He was a member of the German Bundestag from January 19, 1960, when he replaced the retired MP Otto Walpert , until 1961. He was drawn into parliament via the state list of the SPD North Rhine-Westphalia . From March 1960 he was a deputy member of the Committee on Health Care and the Committee on Housing, Building and Land Law.
