Hugo is a series of computer games that has existed since 1990 . The protagonist is the eponymous troll Hugo.

history

The company ITE (later NDS Denmark) developed the character especially for an interactive TV show ( The Hugo Show ), which has been broadcast in various countries since 1990. In small 2D Jump 'n' Run scenes has the troll numerous dangers survive and overcome obstacles to reach the cave of Scylla and free his family there. In 1999 the troll went to a jungle island to protect his friends from the dangers of Hexana and Don Kroko. These 2D scenes are a further development of ITE / NDS, in which the graphics in particular have been improved. In 2001 Hugo first appeared in 3D graphics . This time the troll had to endure whole adventures in several levels . At the end of 2008 Hugo was sold to the company Krea Medie A / S.

Importance of the series for NDS

Over 25 computer and video games have been released worldwide . Internationally, ITE / NDS has so far sold 9 million (Germany around 3.5 million) games. In addition to the actual skill games, there are also educational games (e.g. for math).
