Hugo Barrientos

Hugo Barrientos (born January 3, 1977 in Comodoro Rivadavia ) is a former Argentine football player .

The midfielder began his career with CAI in 1994. In 1999 he moved to Atlético de Rafaela in the Nacional B and made promotion to the Primera División with the club in 2003 . Already after a year the descent followed and Barrientos went to Olimpo and the following year to Instituto Córdoba . In 2006 he moved to the second division side Huracán , with whom he rose to the Primera División. In 2009 he joined the Newell's Old Boys and a year later the All Boys . There he was tested positive for benzoylecgonine and pseudoephedrine in a doping control in May 2012 and banned for three months. After his suspension, he went back to Huracán in the Nacional B. In 2013 he played for the third division Platense , then in 2014 he ended his career with his old hometown club CAI.
