The Club Atlético Huracán is an Argentine sports club from Buenos Aires . The club, founded in 1908, is based in the Parque Patricios district and has departments for hockey and boxing , among other things , but is best known for its soccer team.
history
Although the club was not officially founded until 1908, there are also records dating back to 1903. The great arch rival of Huracán is the CA San Lorenzo de Almagro .
Huracán won four amateur-era championships and co-founded the professional league in 1931. Since then, the club has won another championship with the Campeonato Metropolitano from 1973 and five runner-up championships.
In 1986 the club rose for the first time from the Primera División . 1990 succeeded in rising again. Since then, the club has been commuting between the first and second division ( Primera B Nacional ), but has been playing first class again since 2015. In 2014, the second division achieved their first victory at the Copa Argentina , the Argentine cup competition and thus qualification for the Copa Libertadores .
The most prominent player in the club's history is Alfredo Di Stéfano , who began his world career with Huracán. Another star in the club's history is Guillermo Stábile , top scorer of the first football World Cup in 1930 .

The Club Atlético Huracán plays in the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó , Buenos Aires . The stadium was inaugurated on November 10, 1949. The stadium has a capacity of 48,314 spectators.
