Memorial to the victims of the yellow fever epidemic

Parque Patricios went through a change at the beginning of the 20th century. The slaughterhouse, which was previously located in Parque Patricios, moved to Mataderos , garbage dumps and waste incineration plants were closed and the cemetery, which was laid out as a result of the yellow fever epidemic in 1871, was leveled. The latter is now the Parque Ameghino. Instead, more parks, a zoo and hospitals were built.

There are several hospitals in Parque Patricios today that treat patients from all over Argentina. This is also where the notorious “Caseros” prison stands, after the demolition of which the artist Seth Wulsin used the rubble as raw material for sculptures.

The football club Club Atlético Huracán , a first division team in the Estadio Tomás Adolfo Ducó stadium, offers sports facilities .

Parque Patricios is mentioned in several tango songs . The best known is the "blacksmith's street corner" in the tango "Sur". What is meant is the corner of Inclán Street and Loria Street.
