Villa Santa Rita is a district to the west of the geographical center of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires . The district has almost 34,000 inhabitants on an area of ​​2.3 km² . It is one of the smaller districts and is part of Comuna C11.

Villa Santa Rita is bordered by Condarco, Av. Álvarez Jonte, Miranda, Joaquín V. González and Av. Gaona. The district is mostly residential with tree-lined streets. The district got its name after the church "Santa Rita Casia".

The most famous inhabitant of the district is the writer Jorge Luis Borges , who also mentions Villa Santa Rita in his story "Hombre de la Esquina Rosada". Other personalities associated with the district are the racing driver Oscar Gálvez , the musician Alfredo Gobbi and Baldomero Fernández Moreno .

The district day is celebrated annually on September 5th.
