Villa Riachuelo
Villa Riachuelo is the southernmost district of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires .
It has almost 15,000 inhabitants (as of 2001) on an area of 4.1 km² and is one of the less populated districts. Villa Riachuelo is bordered by Avenida Lisandro de la Torre, Calle José Barros Pazos, Avenida General Paz , Avenida 27 de Febrero , Calle Escalada and Avenida Coronel Roca. Villa Riachuelo belongs to the Comuna C8.
In Villa Riachuelo are the Autódromo Municipal de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires ( Autódromo Oscar Alfredo Gálvez ) and the Lago de Regatas, which is also used for water sports competitions. There are two sports clubs: the Asociación Cultural y Deportiva "El Ideal" and the Lugano Fútbol Club.
The “Centro Cultural Saladiyo”, the local cultural center, is located in Avenida Francisco Fernández de la Cruz 6380.
