Henderson State University

The Henderson State University is a State University in Arkadelphia in southwest US state of Arkansas . 3,513 students are enrolled at the university. It is a so-called Liberal Arts University . The radio station KSWH-FM belongs to the university.

history

The university was founded in 1890 as the Arkadelphia Methodist College . It was later named after Charles Christopher Henderson. In 1929 it was converted into a state university.

Sports

The Henderson State sports teams are the Reddies . The university is a member of the Gulf South Conference.

Trivia

In November 2019, two professors at the University were due to the alleged production of crystal meth arrested. One of the lecturers had already praised the educational aspect of the Breaking Bad series in 2014 and was referred to as "Heisenberg von Henderson" in reference to the protagonist.
