Arkansas Tech University

The Arkansas Tech University is a state university in Russellville in the northern US state of Arkansas . 7,480 students are enrolled at the university. The university has a branch in Ozark.

history

The university was founded in 1909 as the Second District Agricultural School and renamed Arkansas Polytechnic College in 1925 . It received its current name in 1976. In 2004, the Arkansas Valley Technical Institute in Ozark was converted into a branch of the Arkansas Tech University.

Sports

The UAM sports teams are the Wonderboys (men) and the Golden Suns (women). The university is a member of the Gulf South Conference.
