Club Atlético San Martín de Tucumán is an Argentine sports club best known for its football section. The club is based in San Miguel de Tucumán , the largest city in Northern Argentina. It was founded in 1909 and after relegation from the Nacional B in 2011, it plays in the Torneo Argentino A , the third highest division.
In addition to the men's team, the club also has a women's team.
The most notable win was the 6-1 away win at Boca Juniors on November 20, 1988. The club played the 2008/09 season in the top tier, but was relegated for the seventh time in the club's history this season.
The club plays at home in red and white striped camisoles and red pants and socks. The outfit is white, the camisole has a red stripe at the neckline.
