Hugo Fidel Cázares
Hugo Fidel Cázares Linares (born March 24, 1978 in Los Mochis ) is a Mexican boxer in the super fly and light flyweight division .
Professional career
On April 30, 2005, Cázares boxed light flyweight against Nelson Dieppa for the WBO world championship and won by "technical decision" in the 10th round. He defended this title a total of five times and lost it in August 2007 to Iván Calderón by split point decision.
On May 8, 2010 he became WBA world champion with a unanimous victory over Nobuo Nashiro . He was able to defend this belt four times in a row and lost it at the end of August of the following year to Tomonobu Shimizu by a split judge's decision.
