Nobuo Nashiro

Nobuo Nashiro ( Jap. 名城信男 , Nashiro Nobuo * 12. October 1981 in Nara , Nara Prefecture ) is a Japanese boxer in the super flyweight .

Professional career

Nashiro made his professional debut in July 2003. In a fight for the Japanese championship in his weight class, he won against Seiji Tanaka , who fell into a coma after the fight and died two weeks later. On July 22, 2006 Nashiro boxed against Martín Castillo for the world title of the association WBA and won by technical knockout in round 10. He defended this title in December of the following year against Eduardo Garcia and lost it on May 3, 2007 to Alexander Muñoz .

In September 2008 he was able to win this title, which had since become vacant, again when he defeated Kōhei Kōno by split point decision. The following year he defended him against Kōnosuke Tomiyama by technical knockout and against Hugo Fidel Cázares with a draw. On May 8, 2010, he lost the title in a direct rematch by unanimous decision. After 19 wins and 6 losses, Nashiro ended his career.

In 2014 he became a coach of the Kinki University Boxing Club .
