Eduardo Garcia

Eduardo Antonio Garcia (born July 20, 1950 in Stuttgart ) is an entrepreneur . He founded Garmo AG in Stuttgart in 1975 , which deals with the sale of dairy products. Today Garmo is one of the largest manufacturers of Turkish labeled foods in Germany and Europe.

Life

The doctor of business administration was born to a Swabian mother and a Spanish air force officer. He grew up in the vicinity of a Swabian civil servant family, graduated from high school in Stuttgart and studied economics at the University of Augsburg .

After the severe earthquake in Turkey in 1999 , Garcia founded the GAZi Children's Foundation in the late 1990s.

Garcia is a football enthusiast from Swabia and when the VfB sponsorship was announced, he said about himself and VfB Stuttgart: “I've been with this club for over 50 years. I was already standing in the A block in the 1960s and cheered Rolf Geiger and Erwin Waldner . In the C and B youth I even played at VfB myself. And I've been a regular at the home games of the Reds and the Blue for years . In short: I am a Stuttgart football fan - through and through. "

Awards

Eduardo Garcia received the Order of Merit of the State of Baden-Württemberg on April 20, 2013 in Mannheim Palace from Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann, and the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon from Deputy Prime Minister Thomas Strobl on February 22, 2019 at the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior in Stuttgart .
