Hugo Rehbein

Karl Adalbert Hugo Rehbein (born December 19, 1833 in Berlin ; † October 5, 1907 ) was a German judge .

Life

He entered legal practice in 1854 and became an assessor in 1858. In 1863 Rehbein became district judge in Spremberg. He was promoted to public prosecutor in Halberstadt in 1871. He returned to the bench in 1878 as a judge of appeal in Halberstadt. With the entry into force of the Reich Justice Laws in 1879, he was appointed to the Chamber Court and then to the Judicial Examination Commission. In 1884 he became an imperial judge. Although Rehbein was a recognized expert on the ALR , he was initially employed in the 4th Criminal Senate. In 1889 he reached the 1st Civil Senate via the 2nd Criminal Senate, in which he remained until his retirement in 1907. Sick in the summer, he died five days after his retirement. In 1895 he became Dr. iur. hc from the law faculty of the University of Leipzig.
