Hugo Ruiz (born September 21, 1986 in Los Mochis , Mexico ) is a Mexican boxer and current WBC world champion in super bantamweight .
Professional career
Ruiz won his first 9 fights all by knockout . In his 10th fight he had to accept his first bankruptcy against Enrique Quevedo; he lost by technical knockout in round 4 in a fight scheduled for 6 rounds.
At the end of February 2016 he fought against his compatriot Julio Ceja for the WBC World Championship. Ruiz knocked out Ceja in the first round and thus achieved the world championship title.
