Hugo Sack

Hugo Sack (born October 10, 1860 in Löben , † June 23, 1909 in Offdilln ) was a German engineer and industrialist .

Life

Hugo Sack, son of the landowner Rudolph Sack , attended the secondary school in Leipzig . After two years of training, he studied at the Technikum Mittweida and at the Technical University of Karlsruhe . In Karlsruhe he became a member of the Germania fraternity (today Teutonia ). He worked for several years in the Rhineland and Westphalia . He then spent a year in Spain.

In 1891, Hugo Sack founded the Sack & Kiesselbach machine factory in Rath near Düsseldorf . Eight years later he founded the Maschinenfabrik Sack GmbH in Rath . In this company, Sack developed a universal rolling mill for parallel and wide-flange beams.
