Hugo Sans-Avoir

Hugo Sans-Avoir (also Hugo Senzaver or Hugo Sine-Censu , * before 1130, † after 1184) was Lord of Le Puy and constable of the County of Tripoli .

He was the son and heir of the crusader Wilhelm Sans-Avoir , lord of Le Puy. His family probably came from Boissy-sans-Avoir on the Ile-de-France . Between 1145 and 1184 he is mentioned in documents as constable of Tripoli. Between 1161 and 1164 he is mentioned in documents as constable of Tripoli.

He married Eschiva († after 1204), daughter of William of Saint-Omer and granddaughter of the Prince of Galilee Walter of Saint-Omer . With her he had a daughter, Maria, who married Johann von Farabel . At Hugo's death, he inherited the rule of Le Puy from their rights.
