Raimund von Gibelet (constable)

Raimund von Gibelet or Raimund Embriaco (* before 1159, † after 1204) was constable of Tripoli .

He was the second-born son of Wilhelm II. Embriaco , Lord of Gibelet and his wife Sancha. His older brother Hugo II succeeded his father as Lord of Gibelet.

In 1181 and 1183 he is mentioned in a document as a constable of the County of Tripoli .

He was married and had a son, Wilhelm, who married Eva, a noblewoman from the Principality of Antioch . His only son, Raimund's grandson, Johann von Gibelet , became Marshal of Jerusalem in 1259 .
