Wilhelm II. Embriaco
Wilhelm II. Embriaco or Wilhelm II. Von Gibelet (* before 1135, † around 1159) was Lord of Gibelet in the county of Tripoli .
He was the son of Hugo I Embriaco von Gibelet and his wife Adelasia. After the death of his father around 1135, Wilhelm II succeeded him as Lord of Gibelet.
The fiefdom of Gibelet was given to his father for a limited period in return for annual interest payments. In 1154 Wilhelm II obtained the renewal of the transfer of Gibelet for 29 years against an interest of 270 Byzantines , while Genoese possessions in Antioch and Acre were given to his cousins Hugo and Nicola Embriaco .
After his death, his son Hugo II followed him in Gibelet .
His wife was called Sancha and came from Provence . With her he had four sons and a daughter:
- Hugo II. Embriaco († 1179/84), lord of Gibelet;
- Raimund Embriaco († after 1204), constable of Tripoli;
- Bertrand Embriaco († after 1217);
- Wilhelm Embriaco († after 1204), ∞ Fadie, daughter of Manasses von Hierges ;
- Agnes Embriaco, ∞ Guermond II , Lord of Bethsan .
