Life

Duchier's family comes from Saint-Sulpice-le-Dunois , where his great-grandfather Emile Duchier was mayor from 1904 to 1935. Even as a child, Duchier was enthusiastic about painting and drawing. He studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris until 1999 and worked not only on interior design but also on sculpture.

After completing his studies, he worked as a theater decorator and came to film in the early 2000s. In Cédric Angers The Killer, Duchier first worked as a production designer for a feature film. For Roschdy Zems bodybuilder , he chose the pseudonym Jérémie D. Lignol as a production designer for the first time . "Lignol" is the surname of his mother, who is the last of her family to bear the surname and does not pass it on to descendants. Duchier's breakthrough came with Roschdy Zem's film Monsieur Chocolat , published in 2016 , for which he was awarded the César in the category Best Production Design in 2017 .
