Hugo Schönherr (General)
Hugo Schönherr Edler von Schönleiten (* May 28, 1858 - December 27, 1938 ) was an Austrian major general .
Hugo Schönherr was born on November 1, 1917 within the k. u. k. The Austro-Hungarian Dual Monarchy promoted to major general and at the same time raised to hereditary nobility in 1917 because of his thirty years of service on the basis of the regulations on systemic nobility . Schönherr's choice of name fell on the mountain Schönleiten in the South Tyrolean Nonsberg group , which he successfully defended in the Isonzo battles during the First World War .
Schönherr's son was Otto Schönherr Edler von Schönleiten , his grandson was the actor, writer and speaker Dietmar Schönherr .
