Hulei ( Chinese  湖 雷 镇 , Pinyin Húléi zhèn ) is a large community in the southeast of the People's Republic of China . It belongs to the administrative area of the Yongding District , which in turn is subordinate to the prefecture-level City of Longyan in Fujian Province . The Hulei Parish administers an area of ​​161.5 square kilometers, two-thirds of which is forested, with a total population of 45,630 people in 2015. The 2000 population census showed a total population of 30,039 people in 8,661 households, of which 15,060 are men and 14,979 Women.

Hulei is divided into 27 villages at the village level : Xiahu (下 湖村), Xiazai (下 在 村), Shikeng (石 坑村), Huyao (湖 瑶 村), Tongtian (桐 田村), Baidong (白 岽 村), Qianfang (前 坊村), Luotan (罗 滩村), Yuwen (玉 文 村), Shuya (淑雅 村), Daoren (道 仁 村), Zhulan (竹 兰 村), Gaoshi (高 石村), Shendu (深度 村) , Luopi (罗 陂 村), Shanghu (上 湖村), Shangbei (上 北 村), Shangnan (上 南村), Zengrui (增 瑞 村), Chidu (尺度 村), Hehua (荷花 村), Liantang (莲塘 村) , Xikou (溪口 村), Jinxi (锦溪 村), Xiangji (象 基 村), Fankeng (藩 坑村), Bipo (弼 鄱 村). Hulei has significant resources such as 500,000 cubic meters of wood, rare earths , tungsten , molybdenum , kaolinite and omphacite . There are nine hydropower plants in operation in the Hulei area.
