The State Statistical Office of the People's Republic of China ( Chinese  中華人民共和國國家統計局  /  中华人民共和国国家统计局 , Pinyin Zhōnghuá Rénmín Gònghéguó Guojia Tǒngjìjú , English National Bureau of Statistics of China ), headquartered in Beijing was established in 1952 and reports directly to the State Council of the People's Republic of China .
