Chinese Folk Literature and Arts Society

The Chinese Society of folk literature and art ( 中国民间文艺家协会 , Zhongguo minjian Wenyi jiaxiehui , English Chinese Folk Literature and Art Society ) was founded in March 1950th Its headquarters are in Beijing . It has around 4,000 members. The following companies are affiliated with it:

• Chinese Society for Storytelling ( 中国 故事 学会 , Zhongguo gushi xuehui )
• Chinese Fairy Tale Society ( 中国 神话 学会 , Zhongguo shenhua xuehui )
• Chinese Folk Song Society ( 中国 歌谣 学会 , Zhongguo geyao xuehui )
• Chinese Proverb Society ( 中国 谚语 学会 , Zhongguo yanyu xuehui )
• Chinese Folk Art Society ( 中 日 民间 艺术 学会 , Zhongguo minjian yishu xuehui )
• Chinese paper cutting company ( 中国 剪纸 学会 , Zhongguo jianzhi xuehui )

The following journals are published by the company:

• Minjian wenxue ( 民间 文学  - "folk literature") (monthly)
• Minjian wenxue luntan ( 民间 文学 论谈  - "Discussions on folk literature") ( every two months)
• Minsu ( 民俗  - "folklore") (monthly).
