National Health Commission

The National Health Commission of the People's Republic of China ( Chinese  中华人民共和国 国家 卫生 健康 委员会 , Pinyin Zhōnghuá rénmín gònghéguó guójiā wèishēng jiànkāng wěiyuánhuì ) is a commission with the rank of a ministry and is subordinate to the State Council of the People's Republic of China . She is responsible for national health policy. It was founded in March 2018. It is directed by Ma Xiaowei . The State Commission on Health Care and Family Planning was the commission that was previously responsible for health care. The change had become necessary because the one-child policy was abandoned in October 2015 and birth planning or family planning is no longer practiced.

The National Health Commission is responsible for national health policy. In the context of the COVID-19 pandemic , the Commission is responsible for coordinating and policing the crisis.
