Rudolf Stricker

Rudolf Stricker (born February 1, 1829 in Hebron-Damnitz , Western Pomerania , † October 5, 1890 in Berlin ) was a German director and publisher .

Life

Rudolf Stricker joined the army in 1843. In 1864 he took part in the German-Danish war as an administrative officer and received the Alsenkreuz .

In 1865 he married Clara Effert, a daughter of the publisher August Effert (1801–1870). In 1871 Stricker took over his share in the Nicolaische Verlagsbuchhandlung (A. Effert & L. Lindtner) , in 1872 he became the sole owner after Ludwig Lindtner left.

The publishing house Nicolaische Verlagsbuchhandlung (R. Stricker) was continued by the heirs and existed under this name until about 1922, then as Nicolaische Verlagsbuchhandlung .
