The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine ( AQSIQ ; Chinese  中华人民共和国 国家 质量 监督 检验 检疫 总局 , German about Central Office for Quality Control and Quarantine ) is a Chinese authority that reports to the State Council of the People's Republic of China . She is responsible for national quality monitoring.

history

The AQSIQ was founded in April 2001 from the merger of the State Bureau of Quality Technical Supervision (SBQTS) and the State Administration of Exit / Entry Commodity Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ).

tasks

AQSIQ is responsible for incoming and outgoing goods inspections, monitoring the quarantine for imports and exports as well as for animals and plants. Her tasks also include monitoring food safety in the area of import and export . In addition to the administrative prosecution in these areas, she is also responsible for monitoring the authorities responsible for quarantine in the individual provinces of China within the administrative structure . At the legislative level, AQSIQ is responsible for drafting and publicizing laws and other regulations for quality assurance and for monitoring their implementation.

AQSIQ registration

Registration with AQSIQ is necessary for exporters if they have to prove the conformity of their goods with Chinese regulations. This is the case, for example, when exporting food or recycling material to China. Since the AQSIQ only accepts application documents in Chinese , all documents must be translated before the application is submitted.
