Humboldt ring

The Humboldt-Ring is an association of five natural science institutes and collections founded on September 24, 2009. As founding members ratified the cooperation agreement

On October 28, 2009 the Botanical Garden and Botanical Museum Berlin-Dahlem was added to the Humboldt-Ring.

aims

The overarching goal is to expand the infrastructure for research in the fields of biodiversity and system earth research. System Earth Research includes the areas of biological-taxonomic, molecular biological , ecological and evolutionary research, in particular palaeontological , anthropological , geobiological , geological and mineralogical , collection-relevant research as well as corresponding scientific history , museological and methodological research (e.g. biodiversity informatics , statistical methods , Geoinformatics , modeling).

Further goals include the development of common collection standards and strategies, the coordination of the collection profiles, the staffing policy, the use of the collections and laboratories and the research and collection projects.
