Huntik ( Huntik: Secrets & Seekers ) is an Italian animated series that was first released in 2009. The series takes up many myths and legends . For example, Atlantis , the Amazons , the Argonauts legend and the Pied Piper of Hameln are interwoven with the plot in different episodes.

action

When Lok Lambert asks his classmate Sophie Casterwill for help one day because he fell asleep in class, a new world opens up for him. He learns that his father was a seeker who was looking for the ancient amulet of will. Together with Dante Vale and Zhalia Moon they form a mission team of the Huntik Association and fight with titans, creatures hidden in amulets , against the evil organization.

In the second season, they fight against the blood spiral that fought the Casterwill family thousands of years ago.

Characters

  • Lok Lambert: The son of a seeker who disappeared years ago. He wants to find out what happened to his father.
  • Sophie Casterwill: A descendant of the one who brought the titans to earth in ancient times.
  • Dante Vale: An elite fighter and instructor of the Huntik Association.
  • Zhalia Moon: An elite fighter from the Huntik Association. She initially works as a spy for the organization.
  • Den Fears: Replacement for Zahlia Moon after she infiltrated the IUD in season two.
  • Cherit: a titan who has lost his amulet and who is unusually able to speak.

Production and publication

The series was directed by Iginio Straffi in the Rainbow studio . The lead author was Sean Molyneaux , who was assisted by Chris Diente. The music was composed by Michele Bettari, Stefano Carrara and Fabrizio Castania. The first 26 episodes were first broadcast from January 3 to September 5, 2009 on RAI 2 . From March 16 of the same year, the series was broadcast in German by RTL II. A second season with another 26 episodes came out in 2012.
