Hurtcore

The term hurtcore comes from English and is made up of “hardcore” and “hurt”. It stands for a type of extreme pornography that includes violence , torture and the murder of children . In the literature, hurtcore is referred to as “a fetish of people who are turned on by causing pain to other people or even torturing them. This describes the pain inflicted on the person against their will ”.

The genre is also known as the “ subculture of pedophilia ”. The recordings are mainly distributed on the dark web .

Legal proceedings

In 2014 a student from Melbourne was arrested for running one of the most famous dark web forums and blackmailing victims into sending him recordings of themselves. But he had also encouraged other pedophiles around the world to produce videos. In 2016 he was sentenced to 15 years in prison.

A Cambridge University lecturer was sentenced to 32 years in prison for hurtcore pornography, rape and sex tortion.

One of the most famous cases is the creation of a video showing the serious sexual abuse and torture of a Filipino girl aged 18 months. The offender was sentenced to life imprisonment by a Philippine court for human trafficking and rape. Further procedures, u. a. for murder, are ongoing.
