Hussein Sadeqi

Hussein Sadeqi ( Persian حسین صادقی; * 1961 ) is an Iranian diplomat .

Life

He is a Masters in Political Science who speaks Arabic and English.

From 1979 to 1982 he was employed by the Interior Ministry as a political analyst. In 1982 he joined the foreign service and was deputy head of the First Political Department until 1985. From 1986 to 1988 he headed the first political department. From 1988 to 1989 he headed the Persian Gulf department . From 1989 until the conquest of Kuwait by Iraq on August 2, 1990 in the Second Gulf War , he was ambassador to Kuwait City . From 1990 to 1991 he headed the Crisis Committee for the Persian Gulf for the occupation of Kuwait. From 1991 to 1994 he was again ambassador to Kuwait City. From 1994 to 1996 he again headed the Persian Gulf department. From 1996 to 2000 he was ambassador to Abu Dhabi ( United Arab Emirates ). From 2000 to 2004 he was head of the Persian Gulf department again. From 2004 to 2006 he was ambassador to Riyadh Saudi Arabia . From 2006 to 2014 he was ministerial director in the Middle East department and headed the Middle East research group at the Center for Strategic Research. He was again ambassador to Riyadh from 2014 until the break in diplomatic relations following the execution of Nimr an-Nimr on January 2, 2016 and the storming of the Saudi embassy in Tehran.
